Survey Route: Poole – Channel Islands

As we again approached Ortac rock and Alderney we caught sight of a Harbour Porpoise

Dotted here and there on marker buoys were Shag and more Great Black-backed Gull

We also managed good views of a pod of four Common Dolphin bow-riding the wake from the back of the ferry

I picked up a pod of three Common Dolphin jumping out of the water as they attempted to reach the Liberation
