Adding MARINElife to your home screen gives you one-tap access to survey reports and other news – with the site filling your whole screen.
It works on any phone and is free.
- Open Safari on your iPhone or iPad and go to marine-life.org.uk.
This must be Safari — Chrome and Firefox on iOS cannot add to the home screen. - Tap the Share button at the bottom of the screen — the square with an arrow pointing upward . On an iPad it is at the top of the screen.
- Scroll down the share sheet and tap Add to Home Screen.
- You can change the name if you like — MARINElife is suggested. Tap Add in the top right.
- The MARINElife icon now appears on your home screen. Tap it to open the site full-screen, without the Safari toolbar.
Tip. On an iPhone, the Share button moves to the bottom bar. If you cannot see it, scroll up slightly on the page first.
- Open Chrome on your Android phone and go to marine-life.org.uk.
- Tap the three dots ⋮ in the top-right corner of Chrome to open the menu.
- Tap Add to Home screen or Install and Create Shortcut.
- Tap Install.
- You can change the name if you like. Tap Add or Install to confirm.
- The MARINElife icon should now appear in your list of apps. You can hold and drag to move it. Or just tap it to open the site full-screen.
Samsung Internet users. Tap the three horizontal lines at the bottom, then choose Add page to → Home screen.
Firefox on Android. Tap the three dots, then Install or Add to Home screen.
